ATech Gazelle: Values of Growth, Success and Width

The capability of economics to grow and employ is strongly dependent upon the capability of economics to generate gazelles.

In September 2003, in the Drama Theatre of Primorska in Nova Gorica, the organizer of the "Primorsko-notranjska Gazelle Award" solemnly proclaimed: "...and the award for the Primorsko-notranjska Gazelle goes to...the company ATech from Materija!" The organizer continued by summarizing key growth data: in four years ATech has managed to increase its sales for 330% and has created 28 new workplaces.

The Gazelle Award is an internationally acknowledged award given to the best and the fastest growing Slovenian companies. For ATech the award represents an important milestone and was accepted with great responsibility, as we consider it to be the other side of success.

A Company is always a part of a society, and the society is an important source for the company.

UNGC: International Challenges Do Not Pass Us By

We are aware of the responsibility each of us has towards the environment and always strive for the most environmentally friendly solution. The recuperation of thermal energy was one such solution when we started the renovation of the manufacturing hall.

"Our objective is to promote cooperation and joint efforts between companies when searching for answers to the greatest challenges that globalisation brings". Such was the core definition of the mission stated by a group of companies and individuals at the founding meeting of the UN Global Compact initiative in Slovenia in June 2007.

As the world's largest, global corporate citizenship initiative, the Global Compact is first and foremost concerned with exhibiting and building the social legitimacy of business and markets. UN Global Compact presents a unique platform for participants to advance their commitments to sustainability and corporate citizenship as it promotes sustainable growth and social responsibility. It was established on the initiative of the United Nations in 2000. It connects more than 5,000 companies and stakeholders from more than 120 countries.

Among the members of UN Global Compact Slovenia there is also ATech's CEO, Mr Davor Jakulin, who is proactively helping promoting several international and national initiatives of sustainable growth and social responsibility. One of these initiatives is also ATech's active membership in the Managers' Association of Slovenia.

ATech's product TR-550 is a concrete contribution to the sustainable growth as the product has been designed and developed in accordance with great respect of dynamically growing markets of ecologically safe and energy-efficient products.

Atoms of Innovativeness United Into Marketing Molecules

Our success is the result of the work and efforts of many people. People working in ATech believe in one another and cultivate the atmosphere of cooperation through strong team work. We stimulate personal growth and continuously foster innovativeness and entrepreneurship.

In 2008, among 175 participants on the Slovenian Innovation Forum two of ATech's innovations made it to the finals - traction unit with integrated motor control electronics for battery powered vehicles, the so called TR-550, and the RFID reader/writer card programmer BePi.

Both ATech's innovations placed ATech among the top ten most innovative Slovenian companies.
